Persistence

You can’t change your past, but your future is a clean slate and can be shaped by your choices. The choices you make today will determine what you will be, do, and have tomorrow. They determine what you will do with your potential.

Train yourself to focus on your potential instead of your limitations.

Winston Churchill: “Never, never, never, give up.”

Ben Gurion, 1st Israeli Prime Minister in ‘48 with all world against the young Jewish nation, sitting around with his advisers on the eve of war asked, “Ok tell me why it cannot be done. I want to know all the reasons why we cannot win this war.” He gets all their input and then said to all of them, “ OK now lets go out and win.”

Seymour Nadelman: “Impossible only takes a little longer.”

Quote from Murray that he sent me. “Dont be afraid to fail…”

Walt Disney was turned down 302 times
 before he got financing for his dream of creating the “Happiest Place on Earth”.

Colonel Sanders spent two years driving across the United States looking for restaurants to buy his chicken recipe. He was
turned down 1,009 times! How successful is Kentucky Fried Chicken today?

When you study any successful person you learn that
the vast majority of them have had more failures than they have had successes. This is because successful people are persistent; the more
they stumble and fall, the more they get right back up and get going again.

On the other hand, people that don’t get back up and try again,
never reach success.

Every time you
do something you learn from it, and therefore find a better way to do it
the next time.

Success is neither a miracle nor a matter of luck.
Last week I talked to you about why you don’t just do what we ask you to do. Truth is, if you did you would be more successful faster…It is not bragging if it is true. In general, agents who follow what we ask them to do… do better than agents that don’t. Lets look at how the brain works on that question. From rejection to assimilation.

First exposure to an idea:
I reject it because it conflicts with my preconceived ideas. Most people do not get past this.

Second exposure to an idea: Resistance. Well, I understand it but I can’t accept it.

Third exposure: Partial Acceptance. I agree with the idea but have reservations as to its use.

Fourth exposure: Full acceptance. You know, that idea expresses the same way Iv’e been thinking.

Fifth exposure: Partial assimilation. I used that idea today. It’s terrific.

Sixth exposure: Full assimilation. I gave that idea to one of my sales associates yesterday. In the truest sense of the word the idea belongs to me.

The key to changing is: Repetition, repetition, repetition.

Not just repetition but spaced repetition…. again and again and again.

Doing  something over and over again until it sinks in, and then do it again, and again.

Peter Drucker the management guru said nothing good happens by accident. To change behavior and get results you need structure support and accountability.

Tell me
Show me
Let me
Correct me

That is the goal of Advanced Scripts class, video of Listing Presentation.

Practice doesn’t make perfect, Perfect practice makes perfect.

Successful people yearn to learn and have a plan for learning.

Start with one thing
Make a choice to learn one script this week.

For example: Know the expired script better than anyone or the pre-qualifying script. No matter where you are no matter what your background is… you can change it for the better.

Your choice.

A prosperous attitude always wins.

Don’t believe in hard times.

It does not matter what is happening in the market.

We are in the best business:

People have to have a place to live;
People love Southern California;
Rates are still very low;
Prices compared to 5 years ago are low.

You can do anything you put your mind to.

Don’t be lazy.

Focus on the system, 5-5-5-7 works when you work.

And remember what I do daily will bring me success beyond my wildest dreams if I do what I am supposed to do….

Do what others will not do for the next 5 years so you can do what others can’t do for the rest of their lives.

Now let’s go out and make this your most productive week ever!
