Our Greatest Weakness lies in Giving Up

You must take control of your attitude, have a stronger approach and raise the expectations you have of yourself.

Challenge yourself to be who you know you are capable of being.

Challenge yourself to follow through…. to live what you preach… to walk your talk.

One of America’s greatest examples of not giving up …of a man destined for greatness… not being average or asking better questions is…. Thomas Edison. He said that not giving up was the biggest difference between those that succeed at high levels and those who live average and mediocre lives.

What helped him was that he understood the connection between defining success and failure. He realized early on in his career the importance of never giving up, of working hard, and of believing in himself and his ideas.

The fruits of his labor were 1,093 patents, including the bulb, the photograph, the motion picture camera, the printing telegraph apparatus, typewriting machines, telephones and many other things we can’t live without today.

So let’s analyze Thomas Edison’s way of thinking by taking a look at his words.

  1.  “Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.”

Remember that no matter what you have achieved so far, no matter how experienced or educated you are and no matter where you come from and where you’re going, you can get what you want by working hard.

Hard work combined with concentration and focus will always have results.

So perspire and success will come.
